Santos wants to build the Narrabri Lateral Pipeline from their gas processing facilities at Leewood to the unbuilt Hunter Gas Pipeline. This would carve a 30-metre-wide corridor for 50-60 kilometres through the Pilliga forest and some of the state’s best farmland.
The Baan Baa farm of Shaine and Jack Maunder, is part of where Santos is seeking approval to build this pipeline. They are appealing to NSW Minister for Energy, Penny Sharpe not to allow Santos to force their way onto their property to survey for a gas pipeline against their wishes.
