The Wangan & Jagalingou people (W&J) are the traditional owners of the land where Adani is building its Carmichael coal mine. They need our support now to stop the destruction of their land and the sacred Doongmabulla springs.
They have set up a Waddananggu ceremony and invited us to join in. Waddananggu means “The Talking” and it’s being held at the edge of the mine site in central Queensland.
Most of us can’t drive to central Queensland to join the action, but there are other important things we can do.
– Check out the website and watch the Channel 9 news video
– Follow the Waddananggu facebook page for regular updates
– Send a form letter to the Queensland government calling on them to show respect for W&J people by meeting with them about the damage Adani’s work is doing
