School Strike Sydney 3 March 2023

In Australia we are all on the front line to experience more climate disasters like the fires and floods in the past few years. But we are also in prime position to lead the world in real climate action.

Yes, we have “new politics” but we are still seeing fossil fuel mining expanding – new mines are being ticked off, sometimes very quietly and as though bureaucrats rather than the Environment Minister are responsible. See recent examples in Michael West Media.

Massive gas fields in the Northern Territory and Western Australia could be approved soon. Yet we all know it’s burning fossil fuels that is warming the planet. The climate science is clear that the first step should be to stop approving new fossil mines.

We hope you’re ready to join us on the streets on Saturday 3 March to support real climate action. Starts at Sydney Town Hall at 12 noon. More information at Facebook event.
