Angus Place coal mine near Lithgow is one of eight coal mine extensions in the planning system that could be approved in the coming year.
Centennial Coal intends to mine for thermal coal under the spectacular Gardens of Stone. The damage to wetlands, wildlife and the ancient stone pagodas would be permanent.
The total emissions of the project would be 94 million tonnes over the many years it would operate. The Department of Planning is assessing it now –let them know why they should recommend against it by signing this petition.
