This week we’re suggesting a double dip action for the Lake Eyre Basin. Both BirdLife Australia and Lock the Gate are sharing their research and concerns about gas fracking in the “heart of Australia” – the Lake Eyre Basin.
It’s time to speak up for the birds and wetlands of the basin, which so far is relatively pristine and a mass breeding ground for water birds.
Lock the Gate has written a submission to the Queensland government that we can support as it is and/or write in our own words why no more gas extraction should be permitted.
