Ulan coal mine wants more

Say NO WAY to Glencore’s Ulan coal mine extension near Mudgee

NSW ministers Paul Scully and Rose Jackson are facing a test. Help them decide to protect water and our climate.

Glencore’s Ulan coal mine near Mudgee is doing untold damage to our river water resources. They already have approval to keep mining coal until 2033 – 200 million tonnes of it. But they want more, and they want to keep mining longer.

With the next drought expected soon and the Murray Darling Basin rivers already in crisis will Water Minister Jackson put her foot down against Glencore’s plan to drain millions more litres of water from the headwaters of the river system?

Check out research by Mudgee Coal Alliance and Lock the Gate about Ulan coal mine, and use their draft to write to the NSW Ministers for Planning and Water.
