Middle Arm in Darwin Harbour is our fight too

The PM could help Territorians develop renewables and sustainable jobs with the $1.5b announced as equity support for the atrocious Middle Arm project in Darwin Harbour.

It’s really a gas processing and petrochemical precinct that includes carbon capture and storage.

Costs and timeframes are blowing out just as a Senate inquiry has confirmed that the project would be a disaster for residents, the environment and the climate. One of its main purposes would be enabling the processing and export of gas from the Beetaloo Basin, where 6,000 gas wells are proposed in spite of opposition from Traditional Owners.

The NT Environment Centre has set us up to write a quick email to the PM.
