Actions of the Week 10 Sept 2025

This week, Action of the Week is a ‘clickathon’ as there are important letters and petitions demanding government and industry take stronger action on protecting earth for future generations.

1. Sign the open letter from women to the Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese MP – Women of Australia calling on the Australian government to set a stronger 2035 emissions reduction target for a cleaner and safer future. 

2. Call on the Port of Newcastle to stop coal ship movements during the Rising Tide People’s Blockade of the world’s largest coal port, November 29–30.

3. Tell the Australian Government they need to do more to phase out fossil fuels

4. Tell Woodside to walk away from Australia’s dirtiest offshore gas drilling project

5. Call out to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to protect Sydney’s drinking water from Centennial Coal’s toxic waste

6.  Call on the Australian Federal Government to implement strong environmental protection laws, including removing exemptions for forest destruction. Australia’s native forests and animals are in crisis
