The rate of incarceration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children is a national shame – and it’s increasing across the country. The reason is that state and federal governments are putting political point scoring ahead of evidence-based reforms to improve youth justice.
Because it’s a national problem it requires national action – and Prime Minister Albanese needs to act.
