What a fascinating week lies ahead as we find out more about the election winners and how the battle lines for real climate action were redrawn on Saturday night. Nannas applaud and congratulate everyone who worked hard for a change of direction towards a safe future for the kiddies.
What better way to celebrate than to speak out against fracking the NT? We can’t think of one, and invite you to join Lock the Gate, 350.org and us on Monday, 30 May at 8.30am in the city. The occasion is the AGM of Empire Energy, the company that the Morrison government granted nearly $20m to speed up the fracking and the trampling of First Nations rights. Empire Energy are pushing ahead to frack the Beetaloo Basin despite Traditional Owners telling them NO. And they’ve been given millions by their mates in the Morrison Government to speed up their plans – it’s outrageous!
Come make some noise with us at their AGM on Monday the 30th of May in Sydney. Together we’ll tell their investors that the community stands with Traditional Owners and opposes Empire Energy’s dangerous fracking plans.
