HVO Coal Mine Assessment

Hunter Valley Operations

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) North Open Cut Coal Continuation Project, the biggest coal project in NSW history, has entered the critical stage — assessment by the Independent Planning Commission (IPC), the final decision makers.

This monster will produce 430 million tonnes of coal over the next two decades if it is allowed to proceed. We need to act together over the next few weeks to urge the Independent Planning Commission to listen to climate scientists and other experts on it because it should not go ahead. Nannas are in – please join us!
