No Mudgee coal mining extensions

Massive increases in coal mining near Mudgee are just not on

There are three huge coal mining extensions planned near Mudgee. The NSW government could reject them.

The Mudgee District Environment Group and Lock the Gate have put together the facts so we can write a quick email to Premier Minns and Climate Minister Penny Sharpe.

Please add your personal comments if you have time.

Check out the details on the Mudgee Coal Alert website.

If approved these mines will dig up and export 58 million tonnes of coal each year until 2033 or 2038.

Global heating is just one of many reasons to oppose these mining expansions – there are also risks to water resources, tourism and precious environmental sites.
