NSW Plastics: The Way Forward

NSW Plastics: The Way Forward

The NSW EPA are seeking feedback on the actions and timeframes proposed in this action paper. Closes 5pm, 4 November.  Provide feedback by completing a 15 minute survey or by emailing a submission.

The survey is the NSW government’s next step towards action to reduce the 891,000 tonnes of plastic waste produced annually in the state.

There’s an explanation of the EPA plan, and the survey questions have plenty of scope for your ideas. Or you can make a submission by emailing plasticsconsultation@epa.nsw.gov.au.

Organisations with short-term vested interests will be telling the EPA to slam on the brakes. So please speak up for urgent action.

The oil industry plans to keep expanding the production and use of plastic – another burden on future generations. Tell the EPA that we need urgent changes to cut the use of plastics.
