Action of the Week

Great Koala National Park

It’s crunch time for the Great Koala National Park – will it be the precious Park we were promised at the election that will protect koalas, gliders and the climate? Or will it be a smaller version the logging industry lobbyists are pushing for?

Now is the time to speak up with emails and phone calls to Premier Minns, the Minister for the Environment, Penny Sharpe. All ALP state MPs need to hear from us, especially if they are our local members.

Please send them your personal and heartfelt messages about why you want them to keep their promise. It’s urgent – media reports say a decision will be announced very soon.

Sue Higginson, Greens MP and passionate advocate for the forests, has made it easy for us by setting up some resources we can use for a burst of action.
