This Friday Sydney Knitting Nannas will be at the top of Martin Place near NSW parliament house to speak up against the Eastern Creek incinerator.
Please join Nannas and other groups calling for an end to Eastern Creek and other incinerator proposals in Sydney and the regions.
The Eastern Creek site is very close to densely populated suburbs and the incinerator would create serious long-term health risks to residents. Children are at particular risk from toxic air pollution and the site is close to schools and childcare centres. The pollution from burning plastic and solid waste would affect the whole Sydney basin, not just the Western suburbs.
We need solutions that don’t damage health, environment and climate. The solutions exist and for them to be implemented in NSW we need to say NO to incineration.
Here’s more on why Eastern Creek should not be built.
