Nanna Eury talks to pastoralist Garry Hall at the Macquarie Marshes about the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holders’ decision to release water for NSW inland rivers. This is hot of the press – Nanna Euro is on location.
In our last newsletter we had an article headed Let the Rivers Flow about the plight of the Macquarie Marshes. The NSW and Commonwealth Environmental Water Holders had refused to release most of the environmental water needed in the inland rivers because of a complicated legal issue.
Leanne and Garry Hall run a working Angus beef cattle property in the Macquarie Marshes in central west NSW as well as Willie Retreat with powered and unpowered camping sites. Canoeing tours on the Marshes are also available.
