Nannas support Climate Strike

Final Day of Nanna’s Listening Tour
The last day of the Sydney Knitting Nannas’ Listening tour began at the quirky Feathers Café in Cassilis Street, on the eastern side of Coonabarabran’s main street. Here we met with members of Coonabarabran Residents Against Gas (CRAG), some of whom are also Knitting Nannas.
Gomeroi Nanna guides Sydney Nannas
Gomeroi grandmother and long time anti gas campaigner, Suellyn Tighe, guided Sydney Knitting Nannas and Friends around the southern part of the Pilliga Forest on Sunday. Nannas listened and learned about Gomeroi culture and the need to protect it.
Sydney Nannas sing for Santos to wake up
The planned day for Knitting Nannas and Friends on Friday changed so we took advantage of free time and slept in. We met at Santos’ Operation Centre on Yarrie Lake Road, not far out of Narrabri. On the Friday of the Sydney Knitting Nannas and Friends’ Listening Tour some Nannas visited the Narrabri Fish Farm, 10 kilometres from town.
