Nannas had their first in-person meeting in 2026 on Friday 29 January and welcomed five new Nannas. The end of fossil fuels is near but not coming nearly fast enough to save us from prolonged heatwaves. Nannas will not stop working for an end to fossil fuel exports, and that means no new coal and gas.
Citizen science forest trip to help save Greater Gliders
Knitting Nannas joined other citizen scientists last week in the Tallaganda State Forest for a truly memorable couple of nights spotting Greater Gliders emerging from their tree dens just after dusk.
Yancoal’s Moolarben OC3 coal expansion Updated
Sydney Knitting Nannas are gearing up to support the Mudgee District Environment Group in the battle to stop the expansion of the Moolarben coal mine at Wollar. We’ll be writing submissions and attending the Independent Planning Commission hearing in Mudgee. We want you with us.
