Nannas were back in Martin Place protesting against Santos during the company’s AGM in Adelaide, and later in the day a welcome win for justice and democracy had Nannas cheering.

Nannas partial win on protest laws
Two Knitting Nannas, Helen Kvelde and Dominique Jacobs took legal action to defend the right to protest in October 2022, after the NSW Government passed new laws following a series of climate-related demonstrations.

Busy Nanna Week
This was an exceptionally busy week for Nannas with three fossil fuel protests on successive days in Sydney and a court case involving Nannas in Newcastle. With a growing number of Nannas the load is spread with a different group rallying for each event.
