Coffs Harbour Forest Convergence and Sydney Protest

The North East Forest Alliance (NEFA) is planning a massive action outside the Forestry Corporation’s office at 34 Park Avenue, Coffs Harbour on Monday 13 January at 10am. Visitors to the area can experience a guided forest walk during the day, and/or spotlighting koalas and gliders at night. (For details see below.)

NEFA are angry at the MInn’s Government for failing to deliver the Great Koala National Park (GKNP) in 2024.

It’s time for a forest convergence

This event aims to bring together the many groups and individuals acting to save the forests. There are different priorities and approaches in the alliance of forest protectors, and the plan is to bring our work and messaging together in a show of strength to the government and the Forestry Commission.

People from far and wide are welcome because this is about the future of all the forests and whether they are to be scalped before they are protected.

Please bring colourful signs and banners and be ready for some  noise and chanting.

At this crucial time, please invite your friends to send a strong message to Chris Minns and Penny Sharpe that they need to STOP THE LOGGING and keep their promise and create the world class park our Koalas so desperately need.

Sydney Protest

Bob Brown Foundation is holding a protest at the same time, Monday 13 January at 10am, at the Forestry Corporation’s Sydney office – Cnr Cumberland Forest Way and Castle Hill Rd, West Pennant Hills.
