The Sydney Knitting Nannas and Friends held a knit-in outside Tanya Plibersek’s office in Redfern on 29 April. They wanted her to know that they do not want taxpayer dollars spent on the expansion of the gas industry.

Sydney Knitting Nannas and Friends have joined with other groups to pressure the federal government to #fundourfuturenotgas. While gas companies knock on farmers doors, uninvited, asking for access, Nannas started their week of action at the gates of Kirribilli House, the PM’s residence in Sydney.
Four Sydney Knitting Nannas, with koalas on their minds, visited Mt Gilead on 22 April where Lendlease has built retirement villas and is planning to build 1700 more houses during stage 2 of the development.
