During Covid lockdowns, Sydney Knitting Nannas and Friends had weekly Zoom meetings to generate ideas for campaigning from home and to check that everyone was OK. These sessions proved to be very informative and productive so they have continued. The following was discussed at our last meeting on Friday morning.

Sydney Knitting Nannas has formed a Koala Team to research koalas, write letters to politicians, and help organise rallies with other groups. Koalas need large areas of undisturbed land to survive. Logging and land clearing for development are destroying their habitat in NSW.
You may have signed the Save Sydney Koalas petition to save Sydney’s only remaining healthy koala colony in the Campbelltown area. This week we are asking you to put the word out further into the community.
