Over-extraction of water in the upper Murray Darling Basin rivers has caused years of low and non-existent flows, with resulting devastation of the Darling Baaka. But now the NSW government has in its hands a blueprint for turning it around – let’s call for its full and timely implementation.

This week we can use Birdlife Australia’s mail campaign to write to our federal politicians about the urgent need to fix our environment laws. Tell your federal MP only real reform of federal environmental laws will stop extinctions.
