Native Forest and Koala Actions
A small group of Sydney Nannas and others were outside the Land and Environment Court on 14 August for the final hearing to stop logging in Myrtle and Braemar state forests, vital koala habitat in north-east NSW.

Sydney Nannas attended two events to stop native forest logging last week, including the biggest rally since the beginning of the Covid pandemic. Meanwhile, Northern Beaches Nannas were invited to speak at a retirement home.
Rally in solidarity with Gomeroi appeal against NTT decision
Knitting Nannas joined a feisty rally outside the Federal Court in Sydney today to express our solidarity with the Gomeroi custodians of the Pilliga forest. The Gomeroi appeal against the Native Title Tribunal’s decision to over-ride their rights in favour of the Santos Pilliga Gas Project is being heard over three days this week.
End of global warming we’re now at global boiling

Nannas visit Minister for Climate Change, and koala activists
New signs, reels and radio interview. It all happened last week when news of extreme heat, wildfires, floods and ice melts around the world told us that climate change is happening faster than most climate scientists predicted, and global tipping points are closer than we thought.
