Methane is a powerful greenhouse gas that is over 80 times more powerful than C02 at trapping heat over a 20-year period. The gas industry promotes gas as being natural and clean, and people might easily forget that gas is a fossil fuel.

Earthquakes, seismic activity and gas
Shortly before 6am this morning a 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 5km, 15km southwest of Muswellbrook. An initial earthquake (magnitude 4.8) on August 23 led the Nannas to ask “How dangerous are these quakes to gas infrastructure – especially pipelines?”
