Methane emissions from fossil fuels in Australia are under-regulated and under-reported and are a serious threat to our climate targets (Renew Economy). Almost a quarter of all methane emissions are from the fossil fuel industry, the sector where reductions can be made easily and for the lowest cost.
Buckrabanyule Reserve – a caretaker’s tale
Nanna Anne with friend Liz and the three Little Nannas are caretaking the 539 hectare Buckrabanyule Reserve 270km north west of Melbourne. One of their jobs is to help eliminate the widespread and invasive wheel cactus infestation impacting much of the property.
