This week we can fill in a survey to advise the Council on the Ageing (COTA) about climate change and people over 50. It is COTA’s role to represent Seniors’ interests – so they need to know more about our experiences and what we think should be done about climate change.

The NSW Forest Alliance is asking us all to tell our ALP state MPs and the Premier to protect our forests. Community activists from the northern and southern forests want a government plan for the forests and biodiversity we need. We also need a transition plan for timber workers.

The federal Labor government can use the water trigger they inserted into the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act (EPBCA) to protect precious groundwater in the Northern Territory. This is an enormous decision they can make to protect the climate and the future of the NT.
